Television

So I made my first TV appearance on Fort Lauderdale's My 33. I was so excited. I got up extra early so I would not have big brown bags under my eyes. I arrive early (of course) at the studio at 7:10am for an 8:30 appearance. I spent some time putting on tons of make up so I would not look so pale. I went over in my head 1000 times what I was going to talk about. They sat me on the couch and started counting down until air time. They did not prep me at all where I should look or what we were going to talk about. It went well otherwise. I went home to watch how it came out. I am so mad at the people I went with. My hair looked awful and no one said anything. It was parted on the side and it looked ridiculous!!! Hopefully they will invite me back on. ?

How exciting! What did you talk about on the show?

It was Fort Lauderdales MY 33 . It is a sister station of CBS. It was so much fun. Love being on TV.

I talked about healthy snacks for kids, how to stay hydrated and how kids and parents should exercise together. There is no excuse for no exercise if you have kids!!! CHASE THEM :)

Hey, great publicity then, right? Last summer we had a TV crew come out to my hospital, looking for comments on the expansion project we had going on, and of course as luck would have it I slipped on the side of a pool the day before and knocked out one of my front teeth. So naturally with my gap stuffed with gauze, I'm the first young person the TV crews can nab as I try to slip around. The reporter's face was priceless when she looked up and saw I looked like a beaver.

Fingers crossed they bring you back!

It must be nerve wrecking being on TV? What were you on for (I'm not from Fort Lauderdale)?

Everyone thinks they look stupid on television. Next time have your hair done professionally. This way if it looks stupid you can blame someone else. Congrats on the T.V. appearence.
